Terms of reference for the National Inquiry into Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls

Today is October 4th, the day of the Sisters in Spirit Vigil, a nationwide initiative aiming to bring awareness to the plight of missing murdered Aboriginal women and girls and to honour their sacrifice. My thanks to Patty Musgrave, Aboriginal Student Advisor at NBCC Moncton, Catherine Clark, Regional Director NBCC and Suzanne Desrosiers, VP Employee and Student Development at NBCC and rest of the team at NBCC Moncton who held a beautiful vigil ceremony this afternoon in honour of these brave girls and women. My sincere apologies for not being able to attend! I’m proud that our government is continuing its commitment to shine a light on this serious societal issue and that is has recently announced the terms of reference as well as the identity of the commissioners of the National Inquiry into Missing and Murdered Aboriginal Women and Girls.
